Registration Open for the 22nd Annual Court the Cure Fundraiser on Oct. 4th
The 22nd Annual Court the Cure fundraiser for breast cancer research will be held on October 4, hosted by the North Shore Women's Platform Tennis League's (NSWPTL). Nearly 300 players are expected to participate in the Platform Tennis fundraiser, and individual and team openings are still available. To register, visit www.nswptl.com.
Participation is spread across more than 24 clubs in the North Shore and western suburbs. A Pro-Amateur Tournament will also be held at the Winnetka Platform Tennis facility including 12 women players from various clubs and 12 pros from various clubs. Court the Cure is the season opening event for members of Chicago's North Shore Women's Platform Tennis League.
Introduced by a small group of breast cancer survivors in 1996, Court the Cure has grown substantially to raise significant funds for breast cancer research. Tennis clubs throughout the Northshore and surrounding suburbs participate each year, including Birchwood Club, Michigan Shores, Northmoor, Skokie Country Club, Sunset Ridge Country Club, and Winnetka Park District.
