The picture of this tree was taken in Arches National Park, Utah in 2013. This tree shows that it has lived through some tough times, but it isn't ready to give up on life.

Rural Illinois roadside in July. The photo was taken at the end of our farm driveway July 16. I liked how the mailbox catches your attention and breaks the repetitive line of the road, corn field and sky.

Last October on a Sunday while visiting Randall Oaks Zoo the alpaca named Jewels perched himself high up on large rocks so as to keep an eye on all of us visitors. Jewels is still calling the zoo his home so I'm looking forward to seeing him again.

Family outing on Lake Michigan, July 4. We watched this storm approach as it got dark. I particularly like the blue sky peeking through as the more ominous clouds cover the Chicago skyline and the contrast of light. The rain held off until the fireworks concluded and then the storm broke with rain, wind, thunder and lightning all around us as Nature provided her own (even more spectacular) fireworks show.
Debra Hruby of Wheaton
Loved his picture of "MAMA & PAPA" leading the ducklings to a safe place in the Sam's Parking Lot on 59. Nothing changed their ways they just kept "strutting"! So protective the parents were.

A view of Berlin, Germany on June 27 from a restaurant in the TV Tower where two images appear on the window - a stenciled image of one of the landmarks, the Berliner Dom, and a reflection of the photographer, Ken Simpson.
