Bolingbrook man charged with seventh DUI

A Bolingbrook man has been charged with his seventh DUI and could now face as many as 30 years in prison.

Hilario Nevarez, 48, of the 800 block of Madison, is being held on $75,000 bail, charged with aggravated driving under the influence and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Prosecutors said Naperville police stopped Nevarez at 11:48 p.m. Tuesday for speeding and improper lane use while he was driving on Route 59.

"It is alleged that time and time again, (Nevarez) thumbed his nose at the law and continued to drive after he had been drinking," DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in a written statement "He continued to get behind the wheel not only after his first or second DUI, but even after his sixth, as alleged in this case."

Nevarez's next court appearance is scheduled for May 17 in front of Judge George Bakalis.
