St. Charles Arts Council to open new pop-up galleries during Arts Ramble

The St. Charles Arts Council will open two new pop-up galleries, both featured events of the Fox River Arts Ramble.

The sixth annual Student Gallery will be opening in the Loft and Street Galleries in the Bourbon Street area of Pheasant Run Resort, and the Ramble Gallery will be opening at 311 N. Second St., Suite 100.

The following artists will have their work in the Ramble Pop-Up Gallery at Second Street:

Denise Balcanoff, Guy J. Bellaver, Lisa Bessler, Gary Brown, Cindy Brunswig, Shannon Carlson, Ed Cook, Al DaValle, Shari Emme, Linda J. Evans, Jeremy Foy, Claudia Frost, Nick Freeman, Pamela Hamilton, Mary Hyatt, Robert Krawczyk, Cleo M. Krueger, Kathi Kuchler, Hollis Levine, Phil Martin, Bill McGrath Denise Orlin, Ken Overstreet, Janice Rangel, Felicia Raschke, Linda Roxe, Kai Schulte, Carole Sluski, James Stephens, Nanette B. Stephens, Michael Wallace, David Wennemar, Janet Wickham, H. Dean Willis and Nicole Yingst.

It also will feature Rita Grendze's installation "Banned Books."

The following student artists will have work in the Ramble Pop-Up Gallery at Second Street: Sam Carrera, Nick Cipra, Dallas Dell, Joshua Doncel, Anne Cate Douglass, Delia Franz, Shea Frawley, Alexandra Gill, Imaan Hasan, Andrew Kaufmann, Karen Raygoza, Sean Renwick, and Anna Yingst.

The Ramble Gallery at North Second Street will open for the Ramble at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 21, and it will run through Saturday, May 12. The artists reception immediately follows the Ramble, from 5 to 7 p.m. Stop by to see the gallery and enjoy the reception while you wander through seven rooms of art.

End your "Ramble" day in the area (there are four more Ramble venues within walking distance - 116 Gallery, Artwork at AHC Advisors, The Keep, and Fuseneo) with the pop-up gallery reception. Or make the artists reception your evening destination.

The sixth annual Student Show in the Loft and Street Galleries will be open from April 21 through May 5. The gallery opens on April 20, with the artists reception, hosted by Pheasant Run Resort.

Thanks to both the Greater St. Charles Convention and Visitors Bureau and Pheasant Run Resort for allowing the use of their spaces for the pop-up galleries and for their support of the arts.
