TriCity Family Services' annual Snowflake Shuffle finishes strong at new venue

The sun was shining and provided the perfect setting for this year's TriCity Family Services' ninth annual Snowflake Shuffle Dec. 2 at Royal Fox Country Club in St. Charles.

More than 400 participants took to the all-new closed course in St. Charles to help raise awareness and more than $6,000 for TriCity Family Services, a 50-year trusted partner offering counseling and mental health services for children, teens, families and community members across all life stages and income levels.

The USATF-certified 5K Walk & Run/10K was professionally chip-timed and welcomed all ages, runners, walkers, strollers, teams, companies and families to join in the fun.

Scott Mackay (95.9FM The River) and Gem Entertainment stirred up the crowd with music and commentary pre-race, along with racer warm-up exercises led by Geneva Fit.

TriCity Family Services Executive Director Laura Poss warmly welcomed participants to this annual event, immediately followed by the national anthem and then the sounding of the horn by St. Charles Mayor Ray Rogina to kick off the race.

Kane County Cougars mascots Ozzie and Annie were also on-hand to pose for photos and cheer runners crossing the finish line.

At the end of the race, attendees retreated to the Clubhouse for hot chocolate, cookies and recovery treats, and an awards presentation led by Mackay and TriCity Family Services' staff members.

Congratulations to the following 2017 Snowflake Shuffle overall winners:
