St. James to host 'Conversations on Islam' starting Oct. 28

St. James Episcopal Church, 516 Washington St. in West Dundee, will host "Conversations on Islam" with Rania Zeithar on three consecutive Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Conversations will include: "What is Islam" and "Who are Muslims" on Oct. 28; "Islam and Women" on Nov. 4; and "Islam and Violence" on Nov. 11.

Zeithar was born in Egypt and has lived on three continents. She studied business administration at Alexandria University, and works in special education in the far west suburbs of Chicago. Married with two children, she is a writer and blogger. In 2016, she self-published her first book "America Through My Eyes: Experiences of an Egyptian American Muslim Woman" which her conversations are based upon.
