Prairie Center for the Arts Welcomes the Love Generation 1967-1970 with the Joe Cocker Tribute Band on September 29

On Friday, September 29, 2017 at 7:30 pm, the Prairie Center welcomes the Love Generation 1967-1970 with the Joe Cocker Tribute Band.

The Summer of Love, Woodstock and Psychedelia come alive as top area musical artists cover hits by The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin, The Mama's & Papa's, The Doors, Jefferson Airplane, and others. Then, award winning singer and musician Derrick Procell channels the unforgettable Joe Cocker with the same raw power, energy and blue-eyed soul heard in classic Cocker tunes such as "Delta Lady," "Cry Me a River," "Feelin' Alright," and others.

Critics have praised Procell for his talent and because he is "...a treasure trove of richly detailed story-songs that immerse the listener in the blues experience from the Delta to Chicago and beyond. Blues fans around the world who are seeking smart, powerful modern blues songs that honor the legacy of the genre's masters will find it here" (Linda Cain, Chicago Blues Guide).

Tickets for the Love Generation 1967-1970 with the Joe Cocker Tribute Band are $20 ($18 for seniors and students). Tickets for all Prairie Center events can be purchased on line at www.prairiecenter.org or by calling 847-895-3600.

The Prairie Center for the Arts is located at 201 Schaumburg Ct., Schaumburg, IL.
