Algonquin Commons car show to benefit veterans program

Algonquin Commons will host its third annual classic car show and competition from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, in the parking lot south of Commons Drive in Algonquin.

This car show also serves as a fundraiser for the Veterans Trust Grant Program, which helps veterans and their families with financial issues due to cancer.

Registration costs $15 and will be from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Judging starts at 12:30 p.m.

The rain date is Sept. 25.

This competition is open to all makes and models of cars.

Entertainment will be provided by 101.5 FM Crusin' Music Radio.

All mall stores will be open during this event and many of the restaurants will be offering specials to car show attendees.
