Join the Fun at the Bridge Youth and Family Services 'Color Run'

The Bridge Youth and Family Services, a more than 50-year nonprofit based in Palatine, is hosting its second annual 'Color Run' on Saturday, September 16, 2017.

"The Color Run is an event for the entire family, your friends and your neighbors. There will be music along the route and colors galore. Stay for ice cream, our raffles and then go straight to Family Day afterward at Oktoberfest," said Pat Driscoll, the event chair.

The 'color' portion of the event will be enthusiastically dispersed by volunteers throughout the course - the colors are harmless, certified non-toxic, and made of baking soda, corn starch and FDA-approved dyes that can easily be removed by washing them.

This family-friendly fundraising event coincides with the second day of the popular Rotary Oktoberfest celebration in downtown Palatine. Participants are encouraged to head over to enjoy the celebration when the Color Run is over.

The prize for the individual who raises the largest amount of funds to benefit 'The Bridge' will be a one-week stay at the Oyster Bay Resort in St. Maarten (resort dates are Saturday, April 7 to Saturday, April 14, 2018).

Check-in for the Color Run begins at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, at Towne Square, 150 W. Palatine Road in downtown Palatine. The race begins at 10:30 a.m., and starts and ends just steps away from check-in at the corner of Slade and Smith streets.

Admission is $35 per adult, and $10 for youth ages 6-17. Individuals can register the entire family for $75, all while benefiting a great cause!
