Debra Hruby of WheatonA few years ago, I created this guest room using my own grandmother's guest room furniture and my mother's rocking chair. We painted the floor, and I added a vintage bedspread and the classic 1950s leg lamp. This is now the guest room for my own grandchildren.I passed by it this morning and noticed my two cats gazing out the window, so I just use my cellphone to capture the image. I was delighted with the vintage effect that the lighting created ... it seemed to suit the space perfectly and evoked memories of my own childhood.
