Glen Ellyn Bible Church Packs One Millionth Meal!

What a difference a day makes! Or two, or three. Last weekend, April 21-23, over one thousand community volunteers worked together, in a partnership with Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), to pack almost 280,000 life saving meals that will be distributed to starving children around the world. This is enough to feed 766 children for an entire year! This was the fourth year in a row that Glen Ellyn Bible Church (GEBC) has hosted the Mobile Pack event and this year's efforts brought the total meals packed to just over one million!! GEBC would like to thank the many volunteers who gave of their time over the three days to pack the meals, the many donors who contributed money to help cover the $60,000 cost for the meals, as well as the following businesses who generously donated food to keep the hard working staff members of FMSC and GEBC fed over the long weekend: Barone's Pizza, Ultra Foods, Blackberry Market, Country Farm Bagels, Frito Lay and Sheeva BBQ. Without the generous support of all this annual event would not be possible. Look for the opportunity to participate in our next Mobile Pack at the same time next year and become a part of the solution as we fight to end global hunger!
