Women in Business Host Fashion Show Fundraiser
The Women in Business Advisory Forum (WIBAF), a networking group of the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce, presents their second annual Fashion Show on Tuesday, April 11 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at the Palatine Township Senior Center located at 505 S. Quentin Road, Palatine. Proceeds from the event will benefit the WIBAF Scholarship Fund which supports high school women who are planning to pursue a degree in a business related field.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at www.palatinechamber.com through April 7. Tickets will not be available at the door. The luncheon will include a hot buffet served by Pizza Bella Italian catering along with desserts donated by Nothing Bundt Cake. Coffee, tea, and lemonade will be served and each attendee will receive one free door prize ticket and a swag bag full of giveaways and special offers. Over 25 raffle prizes, including themed baskets and gift cards, have been donated by Chamber members and area businesses. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase during the event, and the doors will open early at 11:30am for raffle ticket sales and viewing.
Spring fashions provided by DressBarn Palatine will be modeled by members of the community, the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Palatine Township Senior Center including Ashley Calandra, Nidya Marin, Patricia Sanders, Julie Selof, and Elvira Tarnhelm. Jan Tisza of Mary Kay Cosmetics will be providing make-up services, and Amanda Kamick and hair stylists from SportClips-Palatine will be styling hair for the models. A Touch of Elegance will be providing table settings with centerpieces and linens, Palatine Township Senior Center is donating space for the event, and Palatine Park District is providing this year's swag bag.

WIBAF is an active group of business women who are interested in learning and networking with one another while discussing business related topics. Monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Meetings include featured member presentations and organized presentations of business topics, along with time for networking with other members in attendance. In addition, members also have an opportunity to periodically profile their business in a 10-15 minute presentation. Non-chamber members are invited to join the group as guests for up to two visits. The fee to attend each WIBAF luncheon networking meeting is $15 per person. Pre-registration is required and can be completed online each month at www.palatinechamber.com.
