Deadline nears for NWSBA Timothy C. Evans Law School Scholarship

The deadline to apply for the Hon. Timothy C. Evans law school scholarship is Thursday, March 23, 2017.

Students currently enrolled in law school may apply for the Honorable Timothy C. Evans Scholarship, sponsored by the Northwest Suburban Bar Association and the Northwest Suburban Bar Association Foundation.

This scholarship was established to honor the commitment and dedication that the Chief Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Timothy C. Evans, has devoted to the Northwest Suburban Bar Association and to the community of Cook County. Judge Evan's tireless commitment to public service and his passionate pursuit of legal excellence and integrity mirror the very virtues embodied by the NWSBA and its esteemed membership.

The scholarship is available to law school students currently attending an Illinois accredited law school who reside in the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division (includes Lake, Kane, DuPage, Cook, Will, Kendall, Grundy and LaSalle counties) and who have demonstrated a commitment to the highest scholastic standards.

Factors that will be considered in awarding the scholarship include scholastic achievement, involvement in school and extracurricular activities, in addition top financial need.

The Northwest Suburban Bar Association is a local, voluntary bar association serving the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. With over 650 members, we are dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community by inspiring excellence in the practice of law. For over 50 years, the Northwest Suburban Bar Association has provided programs and services to the people of the northwest suburbs and beyond, ensuring equal access to justice for all.

Scholarship recipients will be honored on May 4, 2017, at the NWSBA Judges' Night at Café la Cave in Des Plaines.

Faxed copies of the completed application cannot be accepted.
