Fox Valley Children's Chorus to hold auditions Aug. 20, 22

The Fox Valley Children's Chorus will hold auditions for the 2016-17 season from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, in the auditorium at The Holmstad, 700 Fabyan Parkway in Batavia.

The community chorus is open to children in second grade through high school.

There are two choirs: the Apprentice Choir for second to fourth grade, and the Concert Choir for fifth-graders through high school.

Focusing on vocal training and the performance of fine literature, the chorus sings a variety of literature from the 16th century to contemporary works by the finest living composers.
