U.S. wants to give its own propaganda
I agree with Attorney General Lynch when she says that redacting Omar Mateen's declaration of allegiance to ISIS from his 911 transcript would have been the wise thing to do. Making the American people aware of the killer's fierce Islamist loyalties would be tantamount to "revictimizing" the victims in Orlando.
Recently, I was at my doctor's office, and my doctor told me I had a life-threatening disease, the name and nature of which he was not at liberty to disclose. I insisted on knowing the exact diagnosis, but my doctor said that giving me that information would only re-victimize me; that it was bad enough I was ill, and no good could come from my knowing what I was faced with. It all makes sense. The government does not wish to disseminate Islamist propaganda - only its own.
