Chicago man pleads guilty to child pornography charges
A Chicago man arrested in conjunction with a joint investigation involving Downers Grove police and the Cook County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force pleaded guilty Monday to child pornography charges, court records show.
Rogelio Llaguno, 38, was sentenced to a total of 12 years — two, six-year terms — for possession of child pornography and the reproduction of child pornography. The judge ordered him to serve the terms consecutively, court records show.
Authorities initiated the investigation after Llaguno began communicating with a 12-year-old he met on a social media site, prosecutors said. The victim subsequently took nude photos and sent them to Llaguno, whose cellphone and iPod also contained other images of children engaging in sexual activity, prosecutors said.
Llaguno received credit for 482 days in custody and was ordered to pay $1,629 in fines, court records show.
