Chicago man held on child porn charges

A joint investigation between Cook County's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Downers Grove police resulted in the arrest Thursday of a Chicago man on charges of possession of child pornography.

Rogelio Llaguno, 37, is charged with possessing and disseminating pornographic videos depicting children under 13.

Authorities initiated the investigation after they discovered Llaguno was communicating with a 12-year-old he met through a social media site, prosecutors said. At Llaguno's request, the child took nude photos and sent them to Llaguno, they said.

Police recovered a cellphone and iPod Touch belonging to the defendant that contained numerous photos of children engaging in sexual conduct, prosecutors said.

A Cook County judge ordered Llaguno held on $300,000 bail.
