Early registration now open for Addison's Summer Camp

Spring Break is almost a memory and summer vacation will be here in a few weeks. If you're looking for a way to keep your kids active this summer, Addison Park District has a variety of one-week specialty camps and day camps for you to choose.

Registration opens for Summer Camp as of April 1 for kids 3 - 13 years of age. Parents may register weekly or for the entire 10-week Day Camp program. Additionally, 5-day or 10-day Punch Cards are an option so that you may select only the days which work best your family's schedule. Summer Camp starts June 9 and continues through August 19.

Punch Cards for 5-day or 10-day options are available to purchase for ALL of the day camps. These punch cards make it possible for your child to attend summer camp only on field trip days or the days of the week that fit best into your busy summer schedule. Field trip schedules are available online at www.addisonparks.org or at any Park District facility.

Tiny Tots Camp is available from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. daily to the youngest campers who are preschool aged or entering kindergarten in the fall. This camp meets daily at Community Park where campers will enjoy making crafts, playing a variety of indoor and outdoor games, playing on the Splash Pad of the Family Aquatic Center and going on weekly field trips every

Wednesday. Campers should bring a towel, swimsuit and a sack lunch with them each day of camp.

Kids Camp and Sports Camp are available from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. daily to kids who are entering 1st - 5th grades in the fall. While Sports Camp is truly all about sports, Kids Camp participants will enjoy a variety of activities including sports, games, arts and crafts and swimming. Sports Camp and Kids Camp will go on weekly field trips together every Tuesday and Thursday. Parents have the option of registering their weekly so that campers can select a specific sport or interest. All campers are required to bring a sack lunch with them daily.

Adventure Camp is offered to the boldest campers entering 6th - 8th grade in the fall. Campers will have the opportunity to go on a variety of field trips 2-3 times each week with destinations such as Great America, baseball games, water parks and a variety of indoor and outdoor adventures. Before- and After-Care is available to families also. Before-care is offered in the mornings from 7:00 - 9:00 a.m. and After-care is immediately following camp from 4:00 - 6:15 p.m. Extended care is available at both Community and Centennial Recreation Centers in order to provide additional supervision and activities for campers.
