Why won't Roskam support Fair Tax bill?
I plan to vote for Peter Roskam's opponent. Two reasons for my decision. First is, over the past few years I have tried to get Mr. Roskam to tell me why he has not added his name to the list of co-sponsors of H.R. 25, which is called the Fair Tax bill.
I would like to know whether he feels there is something about the plan that prevents him from supporting it. There are currently 73 co-sponsors in the House, not surprisingly all are Republicans. None of those in the list are from Illinois.
He and or his organization have either ignored my requests or have responded with "boiler plate" words which say nothing in response to the question.
The second reason is merely in line with my belief in "term limits." An aside, the Senate has a companion bill, which currently has six co-sponsors, again, all Republican, but not including Mark Kirk.
