O'Hare noise is psychological torture

Hundreds of thousands of lives are being destroyed because of the flawed O'Hare Modernization Program. The number of jet noise complaints filed in the past year on chicagonoisecomplaint.com has now exceeded an astronomical 5.6 million.

The constant jet noise is causing people to suffer extreme emotional distress, anxiety, and deep depression, to the point where they can no longer enjoy their homes, their yards, or the things they used to do. The noise is diminishing their quality of life during the day and affecting their sleep at night.

All of this amounts to a form of psychological torture. Noise bombardment and sleep deprivation are known forms of psychological torture that are used to break people down. These forms of torture have been used on prisoners of war and are considered to be inhumane.

Studies have shown that the emotional injuries resulting from these forms of psychological torture can also lead to physical injuries associated with heart attacks, anxiety attacks, nervous breakdowns and suicides.

The governmental authorities responsible for subjecting the people to the constant noise are the City of Chicago, the CDA, and the FAA. The actions of these authorities are causing widespread suffering with the torturous noise, they are fully aware of the public outcry and the suffering being caused by their actions, and they are allowing the suffering to continue. This has all the makings of a crime against humanity taking place on our own soil. These authorities should be held accountable for any emotional or physical injuries or deaths that result from this inhumanity being inflicted on so many innocent people.
