New Boutique for Men and Women slated for Water Street District, Naperville
Visitors to the Water Street District set to open this fall in Downtown Naperville will have a unique new clothing boutique to enjoy. London Skye will offer trendy contemporary women's and men's clothing, bringing one-of-a-kind pieces and international brands to the fashion-forward customer. Owner Joellen Elam has used her 19 years of advertising and fashion experience garnered from influential positions working on such brands as LEVI'S, William-Sonoma, Nordstrom, Nicole Miller, and Evereve to hone a boutique with a decidedly English vibe.
Elam lived three years in London prior to moving back to the states and settling in the western suburbs of Chicago. London Skye's interior will reflect the rustic charm of a pub you might walk into in London. Rustic wooden floors, comfy brown leather couches, wing back chairs and hints of British charm will be found throughout the store. " I like the idea of bringing the old-world charm to the Naperville area for the well-travelled customer," she says. "With the Hotel Indigo, Elements events space and the eclectic collection of restaurants coming to Water Street, this felt like the perfect spot for London Skye."
London Skye will feature premium denim, shirts and tops, shoes, accessories and travel needs, in a fun atmosphere with personable stylists to help you find the right look for you. "Women love the fashion-forward contemporary styles available in Downtown Naperville, but what about trendy looks for their husbands and boyfriends? London Skye will compliment the classic and traditional men's clothing available in Naperville," Elam says.
Elam and her husband have two daughters, who have lent their respective middle names to the name of the store. "Naperville is style-conscious and family friendly at the same time, she says. " I fell in love with the Downtown, it's charming and brings out both locals and out-of-towners looking for a unique shopping experience. We're also looking forward to serving visitors in to see family, for weddings, and all the wonderful events the community has to offer."
London Skye and Water Street District are expected to open by late fall, 2016. The District will offer the 158- room Hotel Indigo, Elements Events, Bien Truche, Blue Sushi Saki Grill, Traveling Tots children's boutique and activity space, as well as a number of other restaurants and shops and a 520-space parking garage.
