Horses steal the show at Danada Fall Festival
Horses and the people who love them took center stage Sunday during the annual Fall Festival at the Danada Equestrian Center in Wheaton.
Roughly 70 of the creatures took part in activities and performances during the daylong celebration that dates to the 1980s as a way to promote the equestrian center in the DuPage County Forest Preserve.
The fest, which attracts around 10,000 people each year, featured horse-drawn and tractor-pulled hayrides and all sorts of activities for kids.
But the real stars of the show were the horses, whether they were simply grazing or participating in two Parade of Breeds - one near the fest's opening and the other near its closing.
