Many helped make book sale a success
The 2015 book sale organized by Friends of Wheaton Public Library was a great success. Volunteers worked to sort books for several months, then spent many hours the two weeks prior to the sale setting up the rooms to make shopping easy and accessible in both adult and children's areas.
In addition to the dedicated Friends workers, thanks go to Boy Scout Troop 30 from Warrenville who helped move boxes of books to the lower lever sale rooms. Members of the Wheaton North Key Club helped during the sale and were on hand for the last day's Stuff A Bag sale on Saturday. Carlson Hardware was a great source for the many boxes we needed as the books were sorted.
Cooperation from Library Director Betsy Adamowski and the library Staff was much appreciated. Thanks too for the publicity generated by Daily Herald reporter Jessica Cilella. Finally, and very importantly, grateful thanks to anyone who made donations, displayed yard signs, and shopped during the sale. Friends of WPL are already working to prepare media, CDs, DVDs, audiobooks, etc. for a sale the last Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in September. We look forward to another successful sale to benefit the library. Thank you, thank you to all.
