Northwest Community Healthcare names new chief financial officer

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (August 6, 2015) - Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) has named John Skeans as chief financial officer at the Arlington Heights-based healthcare system.

Skeans, 54, who has more than 23 years of healthcare leadership experience, comes to NCH after serving as CFO at SoutheastHEALTH in Cape Girardeau, Mo. He also has previously served as CFO at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center in Chesapeake, Va., and at St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis. In his new role, Skeans will bring his experience and knowledge in accounting, budgeting and financial leadership to NCH. Skeans brings a wealth of experience in financial and business leadership roles with various hospitals and healthcare systems, as well as consulting organizations.

"John's financial leadership will greatly benefit NCH," NCH CEO Steve Scogna said. "I look forward to working with John in positioning NCH for a strong and successful future."

Skeans began his new role at NCH in mid-June. He is looking forward to his work at NCH. "I am eager to work with a dedicated team whose main goal is providing the best care for patients in the community," Skeans said.

Skeans currently lives in Palatine with his wife, Tamera, and two children. He likes spending his free time with his family.
