5 hot ideas for suburban fun this weekend

Temperatures are expected to climb into the 90s this weekend. So if you've been longing for some summer heat, we have an outdoor concert pick, a couple of fests and a nature-inspired exhibit to get you soaking up the sun. Rather stay indoors? We've got that covered, too.

Brick by brick: Check out the massive, multicolored sculptures featured in the new outdoor "Nature Connects Art with Lego bricks by Sean Kenney" exhibit beginning Friday at the Morton Arboretum, 4100 Illinois Route 53, Lisle. $9-$14; $8-$12 seniors; $6-$9 kids. County fair: Enjoy some old-fashioned fun at the Kane County Fair, 525 S. Randall Road, St. Charles. Summer fest: Take a spin on a carnival ride, sample some food and enjoy live music at Vernon Hills Summer Celebration at Century Park, 1001 Lakeview Parkway, Vernon Hills. 'Game' on: Join the improvised action with the intensively audience-interactive show "The Second City's Game Night" starting this weekend at the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, 111 W.
