Blood donors get free chicken meal

Heartland Blood Center will be visiting local Chick-fil-A restaurants to collect donations and the restaurant will give a coupon for a free chicken sandwich meal to all who donate. The blood drives will be held from Monday, July 6, through Friday, July 10. To pre-register, go to https://ht.heartlandbc.org/donor/schedules/name and search for Chick-fil-A. In the Northwest suburbs, donations will be taken from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, at 950 N. Elmhurst Road in Mount Prospect; 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at 90 Barrington Road in Schaumburg; and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, July 10, at 935 E. Golf Road in Schaumburg.
