Mickey Finn's Brewery Opens Doors On Day Off For Monday Blackhawks Stanley Cup Final Game; 250 People Enjoy Free Pizza and Appetizers, Action On Big Screens

LIBERTYVILLE - Who else but the Chicago Blackhawks could motivate a local restaurateur to open his doors on the day the restaurant usually is closed?

More than 250 people came out to Mickey Finn's Brewery, 345 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Libertyville, Monday night, June 8 to watch the Blackhawks and Tampa Bay in game three of the Stanley Cup Final. It didn't hurt that owner Brian Grano provided free pizza and appetizers.

Joining the watch party was executive producer and host at WSCR (The Score) and Libertyville resident Matt Abbatacola. The Blackhawks are seeking their third championship in the last six years.

Grano said he will open again next Monday, June 15, with free pizza and appetizers, if the series goes that far. He also will show all the games as usual as an official Blackhawks bar.

"The evening was epic," he said.

The official Blackhawks bar is celebrating one year at 345 N. Milwaukee Avenue, which Grano smartly renovated. It is located one half block south of its former location. Mickey Finn's Brewery is Lake County's largest microbrewery with an expansive menu for customers of all ages, heavily-in-demand Amber Room banquet facility, popular free weekend entertainment featuring original bands, and ramped up sports bar atmosphere.

The new, urban/industrial designed restaurant features a solid oak custom built 60-foot bar featuring 26 tap handles as well as eight 70" LED TV's, a brand new stage and sound system in the restaurant for everyone to enjoy live music in the bar and restaurant every Friday and Saturday for no charge. Also added was a 65-seat beer garden with huge fire pit; an expanded banquet facility; same brewpub food favorites; and Finn's award winning craft beer.

Mickey Finn's Brewery, whose motto is "Life, Libertyville, And The Pursuit Of Happiness," is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:15 a.m., and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The brewpub is closed on Mondays.
