DR. JUSTIN HUNTER OPENS PRACTICE IN NAPERVILLE

As a young boy, Naperville native Dr. Justin Hunter remembers hanging out in the fire station that is now Lou Malnati's Pizzeria with his dad who was a Naperville fire fighter. And while his mom would grocery shop at Cee Bee's, Justin would meander down Jefferson Avenue, making regular stops at the City Meat Market for a slice of bologna and Oswald's to check out the candy selection.

Life was good. Everyone knew your name.

These are just some of the fond memories he has of growing up in a place he loved. So when the chiropractor and owner of Pure Health and Wellness had an opportunity to move his practice, it's no surprise he chose Naperville.

"Naperville is a big town that feels small," said Hunter. "To me, it just feels like home. I'm really comfortable here."

Since September, 2014, Hunter has been making patients more comfortable as well. He opened Pure Health and Wellness, formerly Hunter Family Chiropractic, at 213 West Jefferson Avenue in downtown Naperville.

A graduate of Bradley University and Palmer College of Chiropractic, Hunter has more than a decade of experience in diagnosing and treating patients and helping them return to optimal health and wellness.

"When you help someone get healed - when they walk in here in pain and they leave with reduced pain or no pain - it's a great feeling."

Hunter knows firsthand what it's like to suffer from debilitating pain. After a back injury sidelined him from regular activities, he found relief while in chiropractic treatment after all other efforts failed. He regained his health, and found his passion.

"I knew then that I wanted to be a chiropractor," said Hunter. "Chiropractic care has so much to offer a patient."

It's more than an adjustment, or a crack of your neck. Chiropractic care fills a void in the medical field by providing individuals with relief on joints, decompression and correcting overworked segments of your body.

Regardless of the issue, Hunter is dedicated to educating patients on their treatment and empowering them to take control of their care.

"Everyone is different and needs to be looked at a little differently," said the doctor. "But the most satisfying thing is to know that you have helped someone, that they can function again, and that they feel better."

Dr. Hunter is accepting patients for chiropractic care, physical therapy, pain management, acupuncture, clinical nutrition or weight loss programs, migraines and headaches, back and neck pain, sports injuries and sciatica.
