Focus on health and fitness with the Schaumburg Park District

Increase the steps on your pedometer during the Schaumburg Park District's 26th Annual Employee Fitness Walk.

Celebrate National Employee Health and Fitness Day by taking a one-mile stroll 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 20 at Olympic Park, 1675 E. Old Schaumburg Road.

"The walk gets people up and moving during a typical day of work," said Kathleen Benson, Bock Center manager and general program supervisor. "It gets people's minds on fitness, and provides an opportunity to learn about health and wellness from professionals."

Participants will enjoy the scenery at Olympic Park, receive free raffle prizes, get free health screenings by Alexian Brothers Health System and enjoy delicious lunch from Corner Bakery Café.

Schaumburg businesses and employees are encouraged to participate.

Cost is $15. Registration forms are available at www.parkfun.com.
