Palatine 9, Barrington 1: Caroline Wojtas (6 goals) led the way, while Tess O'Brien, Kelsey Hank and Caitlin McHugh had single goals Monday to help the Pirates conclude MSL West girls water polo play with an 8-2 record.

Nicole Runtz scored for Barrington (8-13, 3-7) and Ellie Connors made 9 saves.

Conant 15, Hoffman Estates 0: The Cougars completed a perfect run through the MSL West as seniors Carmen Rosas (7 goals) and Maddy Demaret (11 saves) set the tone.

Wheeling 10, Hersey 3: The Wildcats (17-6, 10-0) completed a second straight unbeaten season against MSL East competition with a victory in Arlington Heights.

Fremd 9, Schamburg 6: The Vikings grabbed a 7-1 lead at the half and managed to stay ahead of the Saxons in the second half. Fremd got 2 goals from Kayla Helsdingen and single goals from Megan Younker, Tami Carlson, Emma Hoffman, Emily Kini, Nicole Degla, Paulina Pappas and Sarah Coombes.

Emily Droege scored twice for Schaumburg; single Saxons goals came from Brianna Vasquez, Britney Vasquez, Becca Kasner and Clair Lynch.

Rolling Meadows 7, Buffalo Grove 6: The Mustangs wrapped up MSL East play with a win against the visiting Bison as Erin Pletch (5 goals) and Sarah Luedloff (2) accounted for all the scoring and Betsy Zanocco made 13 saves for Meadows (10-14, 4-6). Buffalo Grove finished third in the MSL East at 9-15 overall and 5-5 in the league.
