Warrenville police investigating armed robbery

Warrenville police are investigating a late-morning armed robbery Monday at the Mobil gas station at 28W050 Warrenville Road.

Police said a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and winter coat entered the store about 10:15 a.m., displayed a handgun and demanded cash.

Witnesses reported seeing the man get into the passenger seat of a late model, white, two-door vehicle being driven by a white woman after receiving the cash.

The vehicle was last seen heading north on Winfield Road. No injuries were reported.
