Wauconda Cares Clean Up Day

Fifty volunteers took time out on a brisk Saturday morning to rake leaves, bundle sticks and bag up the results for Wauconda Cares Day. United Partnership and Wauconda Township co-sponsor this semi-annual event. Held the third Saturday in May and the second Saturday of November, this cooperative effort services the seniors and disabled of Wauconda Township. Twenty three resident's yards in Wauconda and Island Lake were prepared for the winter season through the efforts of young and old, men and women working together to convey their concern for others.
