Dogs get their Howl-O-Ween Party in Palatine

Palatine Park District presents a Howl-O-Ween Party from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Palatine Park District Dog Park, located at Harper College, Algonquin Road entrance, near the Plum Grove Reservoir.

The event will include a costume contest, trick-or-treating with a variety of vendors, a souvenir photo, and games for the dogs.

The preregistration deadline is Friday, Oct. 17 at 4:30 p.m. Register by then and pay just $5 per dog. On-site registration will be accepted on Saturday, Oct. 18, but the fee will increase to $8 per dog. Dogs must be wearing a current rabies tag to participate in the event. Registration can be completed online at www.palatineparks.org or in person at Community Center, Birchwood, or Falcon Park.

Event sponsors include A Closer Bond Dog School, Bentley's Corner Barkery, Best Friends Pet Care, d'Vine Wine and Gifts, Hoffman Estates Animal Hospital, Loving Care Animal Hospital, Puppy Love Pet Care, Inc., Rand Road Animal Hospital, Tailchasers Incorporated, Tammy's Delights, Unleashed by Petco, and Usana Health Sciences.
