Celebrating Books and You!

To celebrate our one year anniversary operating out of The Book Bridge Volunteer Center, we're inviting students, including scout troops and service clubs, to our free Celebrating Books and You! event at State Bank of the Lakes, 50 Commerce Drive, Grayslake. We want to celebrate with those who help bridge the gap between books and others who need them. Register by phone or email before Sept. 30th to receive extra raffle tickets for amazing prizes!

Meet authors of children and young adult books: Allan Woodrow; Powers Molinar; Suzanne Slade; Lori Degman; Tina Schwartz, and Erica O'Rourke! Book sales and signing are at each author's option.

Build and bring a Popsicle stick bridge to see if it holds up to the weight challenge. Contest rules apply.

Bring your colored, painted or sculpted story illustrations to share

Play fun word games and swap comic books

Dress up as a character from a story

Share the fun and bring a friend.
