League to Update Charter Schools Study

The Glenview League of Women Voters and the Glencoe League of Women Voters will be studying charter schools beginning September 18 and continuing every Thursday through November 22. Interested community members are welcome to attend the meetings and participate in the study.

The group will be studying various elements of the Charter School process including: reasons for not renewing a charter, who has the authority to approve, renew, or revoke a charter school, and adequate and equitable funding. The Glenview League will launch this study in addition to its other League work which includes hosting voter registration, holding mock elections at Glenbrook South and Glenbrook North High Schools, and conducting candidate's forums.
