Wauconda Woman's Club Wins Awards
The Wauconda Woman's Club, part of the 10th District of GFWC, won first place awards for their community work to help prevent child abuse and increase knowledge on domestic violence. First place awards were also given for their Leadership efforts in the community and club Membership. A second place award was received for the club's fund raising efforts. These monies allow the club to donate to the Wauconda Food Pantry, purchase Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for needy families in Wauconda and participate in donations to the wounded veterans at Fisher House.
