Vacant Schaumburg office building sold, new owner seeking tenant
The 100,000-square-foot office building at 955 American Lane in Schaumburg - formerly occupied by Experian PLC before it consolidated operations into its second building next door - has been sold.
The new owners are Oak Brook-based Franklin Partners LLC and Northbrook-based Bixby Bridge Capital LLC, which hopes to find a single tenant for the building, which has been vacant for at last a year. Marketing and leasing will be handled by Chicago-based J.F. McKinney & Associates Ltd.
Dru Shoemaker, senior vice president of the firm, said that despite the poor state of the office space market, the building has a lot of amenities that might attract an expanding company, such as a health care or financial services firm. These amenities include an ample parking structure, cafeteria, fitness center and a 17-foot ceiling height on the first floor of the three-story building.
