Whiskey and Wine Tasting Event on Feb. 21

It may be cold outside, but things will be heating up in Bolingbrook next month.

Bolingbrook Golf Club will host their inaugural Whiskey & Wine Tasting event on Friday, February 21 from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m. The event will feature live music, food pairings, an outdoor heated cigar lounge and whiskies and wines from around the world. Steve Cochran of WGN Radio will be the master of ceremonies.

“We are excited to host the Whiskey & Wine Tasting event for this first time,” said Randy Farber, general manager of Bolingbrook Golf Club. “We want to give entertainment options throughout the winter months for our residents and those surrounding, and this is a way to do so.”

Farber said they are partnering exclusively with Rodney Strong Vineyards for the event, along with some of the finest whiskies and bourbons from esteemed distillers. Along with serving wine and spirits, the event will serve the community.

“We felt that if we are going to have an event of this size, it would be beneficial to give portion of the proceeds to someone who is doing something good in the community,” said Farber. “We chose nonprofit Heart Haven Outreach, which is Bolingbrook- based and offers an added level of assistance for local kids who are going through some things in their lives. It's not always about making money; it's about changing someone's life. If we are able to do that through one event, that's what we will do.”

Tickets are on sale now at www.whiskeyandwineevents.com. General admission tickets are $75 in advance, $85 at the door. VIP admission tickets are available for $95, $105 at the door, which allows ticket holders into event one hour prior to general admission for a private tasting session. Designated driver tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door.
