Dogs rescued from North Chicago apartment up for adoption
Five dogs rescued by police last week from a North Chicago apartment will are up for adoption in Bloomingdale, according to a news release.
Police announced last Tuesday that about 30 dogs were found suffering from varying degrees of dehydration and malnutrition in a one-bedroom apartment after a complaint was filed to North Chicago Animal Control. On Dec. 13, they were taken from their 42-year-old owner, who is now facing charges.
The People and Animals in Community Together Human Society — which operates out of the Petco store at 412 W. Army Trail Road in Bloomingdale — has listed five of the dogs on its website, pacthumanesociety.org. The organization is also collecting supplies and donations for North Chicago Animal Control and looking for foster homes to temporarily house the dogs with families.
