Schaumburg Park District Holiday Hours

Stay fit and active during the holiday season at Schaumburg Park District.

The District's Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road, and Meineke Recreation Center, 220 E. Weathersfield Way, will be open from 5:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Schaumburg Tennis Plus, 1416 N. Payne Road, will be open 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 24 for fitness enthusiasts to work up a sweat before the holidays kick into full swing. The Water Works, located inside the Community Recreation Center, will be open noon to 4:30 p.m. for those looking to splash at the indoor water park before Santa's arrival. The fitness centers at each facility and the Schaumburg Tennis Plus pool will close at 4:30 p.m.

The Community Recreation Center will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 25. Adult only lap swim in The Water Works and the fitness center will be available until 12:30 p.m. Schaumburg Tennis Plus and Meineke Recreation Center will be closed.

Feel lighter as you ring in 2014 on Dec. 31. The Community Recreation Center and Meineke Recreation Center will be open 5:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Schaumburg Tennis Plus will be open 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. to work off holiday pounds before New Year's Eve festivities. Open swim is available at The Water Works from noon to 4:30 p.m. The fitness centers at each facility and the tennis club's pool will close at 4:30 p.m.

Jan. 1 marks the beginning of a new year and the perfect time to get in shape. The Community Recreation Center, Schaumburg Tennis Plus and Meineke Recreation Center will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The fitness centers at each facility, the pool at Schaumburg Tennis Plus and lap swim at The Water Works will close at 4:30 p.m.

The Sport Center, 1141 W. Irving Park Road, will be closed Dec. 24, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. The building will be open 10 a.m. to noon, Dec. 31 for the Itsy Bitsy New Year's Eve Countdown.

Vera Meineke Nature Center at Spring Valley, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Nature Center will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Spring Valley's grounds and trails are open for walkers daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Heritage Farm buildings and grounds are closed for the season.

Bock Neighborhood Center, 1223 W. Sharon Lane, will be closed Dec. 24, Dec. 25 and Dec. 30 to Jan. 5. Regular hours will resume Jan. 6.

The Jerry Handlon Administration Building, 235 E. Beech Drive, will be closed Dec. 24, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. The building will be open 8 a.m. to noon, Dec. 31.
