Dodgeballs fly at the Winter Nationals tournament

Dodge, duck and dive at the Sport Center!

The National Amateur Dodgeball Association (NADA) and dodgeball enthusiasts will take over the Sport Center, 1141 W. Irving Park Road, during the Winter Nationals Indoor Dodgeball Championships. Teams in youth and adult divisions will compete for the title of Indoor National Champions in the annual tournament.

The youth competition, a Schaumburg CAN (Children – Activity – Nutrition) program which promotes healthy activity for children, is set for Jan. 3 for boys and girls in grades 4 to 12. Check-in will begin at 3:30 p.m. with matches following at 4 p.m. Youth and high school fee is $105 for a team of 6 to 10 players.

The adult competition for ages 18 and older will be held Jan. 4. Check-in will begin at 9 a.m with matches following at 10 a.m. Men's, women's and co-rec divisions are available. Adult fee is $125 for a team of 6 to 10 players.

The Championships are a NADA sanctioned event with games officiated by NADA staff. All players will receive a T-shirt. Team prizes will be awarded to champions.

Registration deadline is Dec. 30 for adult and youth divisions. Registration forms are available at dodgeballusa.com.
