Crystal Lake Raiders team win first Super Bowl since 2002

The 2013 Crystal Lake Raiders Pac 10 Heavyweight youth football team, a charter member of The Chicagoland Youth Football League, won their Super Bowl on Saturday, Nov. 16 at Carmel Catholic High School.

They defeated the previously unbeaten Round Lake Beach Spartans, 22-18.

This Super Bowl was the first in the heavyweight division for the Raiders since 2002.

The Raiders scored a total of 88 points in three playoff games.

They finished the season with a record of 7-4.

The team had a mission with three phases, which they completed.

Their team motto was "It's Possible" ...but you have to be "All-In"....each player and coach truly understands that today!

The roster consisted of the following players and coaches: Chance Bain, Jason Wilkening, Zach Nugent, Michael Loveless, Paul Nowicki, Anthony Giamberduca, Bradyn Tucker, Michael Mapes, Quinten Conrad, Zachary Borgert, Griffin Sterwerf, Sean Botterman, Dan Truckenbrod, Josh Nollman, Chris Robinson, Danny Vasquez, Matthew Szocka, Drew Lichte, Wiktor Soltys, Tyler Corbin, Cade Naughton, Glenn Romanyk, Alec Natrop, William Noble, Noah Laney and Dominic Collado. Coaching staff for the Raiders consisted of Jeremy Borgert, Patrick Loveless, Damien Collado, Jesse Freier, Fernando Collado, Paul Noble, Chris Bain and team mom Christine Loveless.
