Schaumburg Park District holiday event features Santa, musical and cookies

Celebrate the holidays and the arrival of Jolly Old St. Nick at Schaumburg Park District.

Twas a Saturday Night Before… will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Dec. 7 at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road. Families will enjoy a performance of the 30-minute musical “Santa's Dilemma” beginning at 6 p.m. From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., participants will meet Santa, Rudolph and Frosty; enjoy holiday music; decorate cookies; and take part in face painting. The evening will conclude with a performance of “Twas the Night Before Christmas.”

All participants will receive a photo with Santa, milk and cookies. Participants should bring a camera for photos with Rudolph and Frosty.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. The Schaumburg Community Singers will provide entertainment until the program begins at 6 p.m.

Registration is accepted only at the Community Recreation Center. Admission ticket is given upon event registration. Pre-registration fee is $8 per child and $10 per adult. Day-of registration fee is $10 per child and $12 per adult.
