No garden plots at Frontier Park, please
There should be no garden plots at Frontier Park.
I’ll give you 3 reasons:
Ÿ The first reason has to do with health and safety of close neighbors. The garden provides food for varmints such as mice, rats, skunks, and even red foxes. The last garden season I saw no less than six skunks in the park one night.
Ÿ The second reason has to do with how the gardens become a nuisance. Gardeners arrive every day from dawn to dusk ... Car doors slamming, dogs always barking, etc.
Ÿ Last but not least, about half the gardeners give up half way through the season as weeds now overwhelm the plots. It is an eyesore! And I’m genuinely concerned my home value will be affected also. Who says curb appeal doesn’t include both sides of the street.
My wife and I are in our mid- to late 50s and when we purchased our home we just wanted to live in a nice quiet neighborhood for the rest of our lives.
