Santa arrives by helicopter Dec. 8 to Schaumburg Regional Airport

Rudolph and the gang are sleeping in this year!

Schaumburg Park District will hold Santa's Flight to Schaumburg, sponsored by Northwest Flyers, Inc., from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Dec. 8 at Schaumburg Regional Airport, 905 W. Irving Park Road.

Participants will wait for Santa's arrival by helicopter in the airport's hangar and enjoy a buffet breakfast provided by Pilot Pete's. As Santa approaches, the hangar doors will open. Participants will have the opportunity to talk with Santa and have a photo taken with him. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Pre-registration will end Dec. 2. Cost for children ages 3 to 12 is $12. Cost for participants age 13 and older is $24. Children ages 2 and younger are free if sitting on an adult's lap. All attending family members must register.

Doors for the event will open at 9:30 a.m. Participants are encouraged to dress warmly and bring a camera.
