Get Hooked: Make a Jane Austen-style Shawl

Make a shawl like one Jane Austen might have worn while writing her famous novels. Wear your shawl to the two Jane Austen films being shown in the Baxter Room: (Persuasion at 12 and Emma at 2 pm) and enjoy discussions about Jane Austen's characters and commentary with other Janeites. Fabric and thread will be provided; please bring fabric scissors and a thimble if you use one when sewing. Registration required.

Film critic and teacher, Doug Deuchler, will explain the history and themes behind some of the greatest horror films. Then The Bride of Frankenstein will be shown in it's entirety, followed by a question and answer session about your favorite scary movies and classic horror films.
