Carve pumpkins Oct. 19 at Schaumburg Park District

Jack-o'-lanterns galore will fill Schaumburg Park District.

Bock Neighborhood Center, 1223 W. Sharon Lane, will host Family Pumpkin Carving from 10 a.m. to noon, Oct. 19. Participants ages 1 to 14 will receive a pumpkin to carve and decorate. Prizes will be awarded in various categories for the best decorated pumpkins.

Pumpkin carving supplies, juice and snacks will be provided. Participants may use provided stencils and equipment or bring their own. An adult must be present with children at all times.

Pre-registration is required by 5 p.m., Oct. 17. Registration is available online at parkfun.com and at District registration facilities. Resident cost per child is $15. Non-resident cost per child is $23. Fee includes pumpkin, crafts and a snack. Adults must register.
