Overdoes Awareness Day Saturday in Lake in the Hills

An Overdose Awareness Day vigil will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday in Barbara Key Park, 9191 Pyott Road, in Lake in the Hills.

People are invited to bring photos of their loved ones to add to the memorial board. Their lives will be remembered and celebrated, followed by a candlelight vigil.

Afterward, people are invited to the new sober bar in Crystal Lake, The Other Side, for a night of entertainment and live music. The Other Side is at 93 E. Berkshire Drive, Unit G.

The overdose awareness event is free and co-hosted by Take a Stand and The Other Side. Food, drinks and games will be provided.
