COD hosts 'Changing Attitudes Toward Psychedelics in Therapy, Biology and Culture
Last month, College of DuPage Adjunct Human Services faculty Bruce Sewick helped to organize a free program on “Changing Attitudes Toward Psychedelics in Therapy, Biology and Culture” attended by 45 students and community members.
The program included presentations by Tom Roberts, Ph.D., author of Psychedelic Future of the Mind (pictured, right) Bob Wold, founder of Cluster Busters (pictured center) and Sewick, LCPC, RDDP, CADC, an adjunct faculty member who teaches a course called “Psychedelic Mindview” at COD. The first in this series, “Psychedelics in the 21st Century,” took place in November 2012. In addition, Sewick is planning another free public presentation on Nov. 16, 2013, titled “Molecules, Mind-States and Mystical Experiences – Insights from Psychedelics.” Videos from the June presentation were filmed and edited by the College's Multimedia Services department and are available for public viewing:
