Women's Club Distributes Philanthropy $

Hats Off to all Women's Club of Addison members and guests who met earlier this month to present a $3000 award to each of four local charitable organizations and to present two Addison Trail seniors with scholarships. The local organizations that were recipients of WCA philanthropic efforts were: Addison Community Switchboard, Friends of the Addison Public Library, Serenity House, and Stepping Stones for Women of Domestic Violence. Both Cassandra Crifase, who will attend Princeton University, and Miranda Gentry (not able to attend), who will attend the University of Washington, received a $1500 WCA scholarship.

Hats were the accessory of the day for all who attended the luncheon and boutique that also included installation of officers of the Women's Club of Addison for 2013-2014.

The Women's Club of Addison meets on the first Thursday of each month from September to May at the Addison Village Hall. New members are always welcome.
